Pacific Rim Pathology processes over 50,000 gynecologic specimens annually using liquid based ThinPrep technology. We utilize an FDA approved and automated digital imaging system for the detection and evaluation of abnormal cells.
The liquid-based specimen can be used for HPV, Chlamydia, Neisseria Gonorrhoeae, Trichomoniasis and other molecular-based tests. Concurrent cytology and ancillary test results are always linked within the same report.
ThinPrep Pap
Why send out to multiple laboratories for specialized testing on a specimen when we can perform all your testing needs at once? The ThinPrep Pap test from Hologic is the only FDA-approved test for both Pap and HPV testing from a single vial.
Through a single vial, we can screen for cervical cancer and other ancillary tests using a single sample. At Pacific Rim, the liquid based specimen can be used for the testing of High Risk HPV, HPV 16 and 18/45 genotyping, Chlamydia and Neisseria Gonorrhea, and Trichomoniasis.
