Dr. Wayne Muller joined Pacific Rim Pathology in 1989 after previously working as an associate pathologist at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in San Diego, CA from 1987-1989. He graduated with his medical doctorate from the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center in 1981 and completed his pathology residency at New York University Medical Center from 1981-1985. Following his residency, Dr. Muller completed multiple fellowships at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York focusing upon surgical pathology (1985-86) and cytology (1986-87).
Since 1989, Dr. Muller has served as the director for Cytology Services at Pacific Rim Pathology. His areas of expertise include cytopathology and breast pathology.
In addition to his role at Pacific Rim, Dr. Muller has served as the director of Surgical Pathology and Cytology Services at Sharp Memorial Hospital since 1989. He is also a Chairman for the Tumor Board and a member of the Oncology Supervisory Committee at Sharp Memorial Hospital.
