Dr. Shane Meehan joined Pacific Rim Pathology in 2014 after previously serving as a professor of pathology at the University of Chicago from 1996 to 2014. He graduated with his medical degree from University College Dublin in 1985 and completed pathology residencies at Mater Hospital in Dublin, Ireland from 1988 to 1990 and Massachusetts General Hospital from 1990 to 1996. Following his residency, Dr. Meehan completed a fellowship in Renal Pathology and Research at Massachusetts General Hospital from 1993 to 1996.

Since 2014, Dr. Meehan has been a Renal Pathologist at Pacific Rim Pathology. His areas of expertise include medical kidney disease, urologic pathology, and head and neck pathology.

In addition to his role at Pacific Rim, Dr. Meehan serves as a Renal Pathologist at Sharp Memorial Hospital. He is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, the Renal Pathology Society, and the American Society of Nephrology.
