Octavio Armas, M.D

Pathologist

Dr. Octavio Armas joined Pacific Rim Pathology in 1994. He graduated with his medical doctorate from the UCSD School of Medicine in 1987 and completed his pathology residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital from 1987-1993. Following his residency, Dr. Armas completed a fellowship in oncologic pathology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 1992-1993.

Dr. Armas currently serves as the as the medical director of the laboratory at Sharp Grossmont Hospital. His areas of expertise include oncologic pathology, genitourinary pathology and gastrointestinal pathology.

In addition to his role at Pacific Rim, Dr. Armas is an active member of the medical staff at Sharp Grossmont Hospital, Sharp Memorial Hospital, Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, and El Centro Regional Medical Center.
