Dr. Kendal Jensen joined Pacific Rim Pathology in 2020 after completing a fellowship in molecular genetic pathology from 2019 to 2020 at the University of Washington Medical Center located in Seattle, WA. He graduated with his medical doctorate and Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 2015.
At Pacific Rim Pathology, Dr. Jensen serves as the director of molecular genetic pathology. Dr. Jensen’s expertise is focused upon high-complexity testing and formulation of molecular and chemistry laboratory-derived testing and transfer of novel techniques into the clinical laboratory.
In addition to his role at Pacific Rim, Dr. Jensen also serves as the director of molecular genetic pathology within Sharp Healthcare where he supervises the formation of LDTs and genetic reporting. A prolific first and senior author in clinical and research areas, Dr. Jensen has published in numerous nigh-impact journals such as JAMA Oncology, The Journal of Neurology, and the FASEB Journal. Dr. Jensen’s ongoing interests include seed amplification in advancing neurodiagnostics and understanding multi-analyte testing in inflammatory bowel disease.
