Christopher R. Wixom, M.D.

President and CEO of Pacific Rim Pathology

Dr. Christopher Wixom joined Pacific Rim Pathology in 2006 after previously working as a staff pathologist at the Pathology Group of St. John in Santa Monica, CA. He graduated with his medical doctorate from the University of Utah in 1999 and completed his pathology residency at UCSD from 1999-2004. Following his residency, Dr. Wixom completed multiple fellowships at the UCSD Medical Center focusing upon surgical pathology (2001-02), placental pathology (2002-03), and neuropathology (2003-05).

Since 2011, Dr. Wixom has served as the President and CEO of Pacific Rim Pathology. His areas of expertise include general surgical and clinical pathology with an emphasis in neuropathology, breast pathology, and gastrointestinal pathology.

In addition to his role at Pacific Rim, Dr. Wixom serves as the Medical Director for Sharp Healthcare Laboratory, Co-Medical Director at the Sharp Memorial Hospital Laboratory, and is a member of the Board of Directors for the California Society of Pathologists.
