Dr. Arturo Mendoza joined Pacific Rim Pathology in 1990 after completing a research fellowship in pathology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, from 1988-1990. He graduated with his M.D. from Loma Linda University in 1983 and completed his pathology residency at the University Medical Center at UCSD from 1983-1987. Dr. Mendoza has been board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology since 1988.
Dr. Mendoza has served as the Medical Director of Pacific Rim Pathology since 1990. His specialties include Women’s Pathology and Molecular Pathology.
In addition to his role at Pacific Rim, Dr. Mendoza has been the Medical Director of Sharp Memorial Hospital since 2010 and the director of Pathology at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women since 1992. He is also currently a member of the Digital Pathology Association, the International Society of Gynecologic Pathologists, and serves as the CAP Southwest California Division Commissioner.
