Dr. Douglas Juarez joined Pacific Rim Pathology in [YEAR]. He graduated with his medical doctorate from the National University of Nicaragua in 1981 and completed his residency at the Complutense University Hospital in Madrid, Spain from 1984-1988. Following his residency, Dr. Juarez completed a fellowship in hematopathology at the Autonomous University Hospital in Madrid, Spain from ’88-89.
His post-graduate education included a pathology internship from ’91-92 followed by a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology from ’92-95 at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. This was followed by a fellowship in surgical pathology at the Baylor College of Medicine from 1995-1996 and then a fellowship in cytopathology at Georgetown University Medical Center in 1996.
In addition to his role at Pacific Rim, Dr. Juarez currently serves as the laboratory director for El Centro Regional Medical Center. He is a member of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
